This 11-day Morocco travel tour from Casablanca gives you a taste of the most famous attractions of Morocco. From the ornate palaces of Marrakech to the breathtaking peaks of the Atlas Mountains, Morocco has captivated travelers for centuries.

We are starting from the modern Casablanca with its cosmopolitan aura, continuing to the Royal Meknes and Fez, with an optional day trip to the popular “Blue Pearl of Morocco“. Then, we are heading to Merzouga, and Erg-Chebbi dunes for a camel ride and overnight in a desert camp under the magnificent night sky of Sahara. After spending two nights in the desert, you’ll head northwest to Ouarzazate and the mudbrick village of Ait Benhaddou, and later, via the spectacular mountains of the High Atlas, we will reach the bustling and colorful markets of Marrakech. Optional you can visit on a day trip the enchanting Essaouira before your transfer to Casablancas airport for your departure.

Although it might be challenging to decide what sights you want to see, this tour gives you a great overview of the country. Itinerary

Day 1Casablanca

Your tour from Casablanca starts today in order to travel around Morocco and discover its cultural and architectural highlights. Pick up from Casablanca airport or any other preferable place, and transfer to the hotel for the check-in. After that, you will explore the city of Casablanca, walk over the corniche and admire one of the tallest minarets in the world by visiting the Hassan II Mosque. 

Day 2Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes - Volubilis - Fez

After breakfast, check out and we depart immediately, in order to reach Fez through the Imperial Rabat. Here you will visit the Mausoleum Mohammed V, the Hassan Tower, and the Oudaya Kasbah offering fabulous views of the Atlantic Ocean. After that, we will continue to Meknes, a World Heritage Unesco Site, and one more of the Imperial cities. Visit the Medersa Bou Inania and the Bab Mansour, and afterward, we visit Volubilis. Dating from the 2nd and 3rd centuries, the Roman ruins of Volubilis are considered the best preserved in Morocco. We continue to Fez and on arrival check in at a traditional riad.

Day 3Fez sightseeing

Another beautiful day starts, as this morning you will meet with an official city guide to explore Fez. Fez is the most ancient and holy of the Imperial cities. Your cultural and historic tour will take you through the 2000-year-old living medina. A labyrinth of narrow streets, alive with markets and souks, craftsmen, donkeys, and mules transporting their loads. Visit the Attarine and Bou Anania Medersas (Islamic universities), the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, the Karaouine Mosque, and take a beautiful view of Chouara tannery. Lastly, finish your tour with a visit to Fes Jdid, and the revered Merenid Tombs for a spectacular panoramic city view.

Day 4Fez - (Optional day trip to Chefchaouen)

Today, you will have a free day to explore Fez and relax before your long journey to the Sahara desert. We suggest you visit a Hammam, have a cooking class, or just stroll around the medina and drink a cup of mint tea in a cafe close to the blue gate to feel the vibe of this spiritual city. Otherwise, you can have a day trip to Chefchaouen. Chefchaouen is famous for its vivid blue-rinsed houses and is very popular for both tourists and locals. Explore its winding and narrow alleys, and take some impressive photos. Later on, we return to Fez for your overnight stay.

Day 5 Fez - Middle Atlas Mountains - Ziz Valley - Merzouga

Your travel tour from Casablanca continues, as this morning we will depart to the south of Morocco. Firstly, you will have a stop in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco. Enjoy this unique city and take some memorable photos. After that, you will head toward Azrou to see the monkeys in the cedar forest. Afterward, we will make another stop in Midelt to have lunch. Later on, we will cross the pass of Tizi N Talghamt while admiring the views of Ziz Gorges. After that, you will continue to the village of Merzouga. Arrival and check-in at the hotel, which has an amazing view of the Sahara desert dunes. Dinner and overnight in a traditional hotel.

Day 6Merzouga - Jeep safari of the Sahara dunes - Nomad Family - Sahara desert

After breakfast, you will have a tour of the dunes on a 4×4 vehicle, allowing you to visit the black volcanic rocky desert, known for the fossils. Later on, we will visit a nomad family living in a tent, and Khamlia village, to entertain with the spiritual Gnawa music. Afterward, we will visit the lake Dayate Sarji that forms in springtime and attracts pink flamingos and wildlife.

Then, another break for lunch in Merzouga or Hassi Labied, and after, you will see the canal irrigation system and walk on the oasis located at the foot of the dunes. During the afternoon, get ready for a camel trek for an hour to enjoy the sunset. While you are on the back of your dromedary, you will continue to the camp for an overnight in a traditional nomad tent. Dinner and spend the night in a bivouac.

Day 7Sahara desert - Erfoud - Tinejdad - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dunes and then, have your breakfast. After these beautiful moments, you will ride your camel back to Merzouga, and straightaway, we will depart passing by Erfoud and Tinejdad. Afterward, you will have a mini-break for lunch and we will continue to Todra Gorges via Tineghir, making some stops along the way. On arrival to Todra Gorges, enjoy its marvelous views while walking under it 160 m. rock walls. Next, we drive to Boumalne Dades and make another stop for a panoramic view of Dades Valley. At last, we arrive at the hotel, where you will spend the night. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 8Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Tizi N'Tichka Pass - Marrakech

This morning after breakfast, one of the most pleasant Morocco travel tour from Casablanca continues. The next site to visit is the Rose Valley going through the big Skoura palm grove, a beautiful place with more than 700.000 palms and numerous kasbahs. In this area, damask roses are raised for cosmetic use such as the valuable rose oil. Later on, we will make another stop in Ouarzazate, also known as “The gate of the desert” which in the Berber language means “noiseless or without confusion”. Here we´ll see the Taourirt Kasbah, one of the most spectacular ksars in Morocco.

Next, we visit the fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou. Without a doubt, this is one of the most stunning places in Morocco. Visit the famous Kasbah where famous films have been shot such as Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, and more recently, The Game of Thrones. Then, another photo stop near the Atlas Mountains, and finally, in the afternoon we reach Marrakech where you will spend the night.

Day 9Marrakech sightseeing

After breakfast, you will have a private walking city tour, with an official guide. You will see the famous Mosque of Koutoubia, the Medina, and its souks, and explore some more of Marrakech’s secrets: Ali Ben Youssef Koranic School, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens. In the afternoon the best option is to explore the medina on your own, approaching the square that in the evening is full of narrators, jugglers, diviners, snake charmers, and musicians.

Day 10Marrakech - (Optional day trip to Essaouira)

Your Morocco Travel tour of 11 days continues, and today, you will have a free day to explore Marrakech on your own. Stroll around the medina, visit Gueliz, the new and modern part of the city, or take a henna tattoo in one of the many known cafés.

Otherwise, you can have a day trip to Essaouira. A relaxing 3-hour journey, lined with Argan oil trees, where we will make a stop to watch the goats climbing on Argan trees. Later on, we will make another stop on an Argan oil feminine cooperative, to see the oil extraction process. Afterward, we reach Essaouira, this beautiful UNESCO World Heritage-listed city. With its relaxed feeling, take in the small but lively medina, stroll along the ramparts or beach, or visit the port to see the daily catch and have a great lunch with seafood in a local restaurant. Around 4 pm, we drive back to Marrakech where the driver will drop you off at your accommodation.

Day 11Marrakech - Casablanca

Finally, this beautiful Morocco travel tour of 11 days from Casablanca, comes to an end, as today we will take the way back to Casablanca. The driver will drop you off at Casablanca airport or any other place you prefer, and this is the end of our services.
