Starting with the mysterious medina of Marrakech, we continue passing through traditional Berber villages in the High Atlas mountains before we reach the wonderful Dades and Todra Gorges. Then, we head to the fabulous Erg Chebbi dunes close to Merzouga village where you will transfer by camel to a desert camp and spend a night in the middle of the desert. Our journey continues to the North and Fez with the most authentic Medina, and afterward, we visit Chefchaouen and the coastal town of Asilah. After, we visit the Imperial city of Rabat and Casablanca with the gorgeous Hassan 2 Mosque. El Jadida and Essaouira are also included in the itinerary. Then, we head back to Marrakech, and finally, one of the best tours from Marrakech finishes with your transfer to the airport.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Marrakech

Today, we are delighted to introduce one of our best-selling tours from Marrakech, which begins right at the airport. Upon your arrival, our skilled driver will be there to warmly welcome you and transfer you to your designated hotel or riad. After settling in, you’ll have the rest of the day to unwind and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the main square Jemaa el Fnaa, and explore the enchanting souks.

Day 2Marrakech sightseeing

After breakfast in the hotel/riad, you will have a guided tour of Marrakech Medina with an official local guide. First, you will see the Mosque of Koutoubia, and then, you will stroll around the Medina with its colorful souks. Later, you will explore some more of Marrakech’s secrets such as the Ali Ben Youssef Koranic School and the Saadian tombs. The Bahia Palace and Majorelle Gardens are also included in our guided tour. During the afternoon, you will have free time and we suggest you walk in the square that is full of narrators, jugglers, diviners, snake charmers, and musicians.

Day 3Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

This morning, we depart to the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi N´Tichka pass. After making some stops along the way to admire the picturesque Berber villages, we’ll arrive at the fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou, undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking places in all of Morocco. This World Heritage Site by UNESCO has been the backdrop of many famous films, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, etc. We’ll explore the legendary Kasbah and discover its fascinating history and unique architectural features.

Then, we will continue to Ouarzazate, also known as “The gate of the desert” which in the Berber language means “noiseless or without confusion”. Here we´ll see the Taourirt Kasbah, one of the most spectacular ksars in Morocco. Later, we will pass through the enchanting Rose Valley and Skoura palm grove, where over 700,000 palm trees and countless Kasbahs are nestled amidst the verdant surroundings. From there, we’ll proceed to Boumalne Dades for a panoramic view of the Dades Valley before heading to the accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad.

Day 4Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Sahara Desert

After breakfast, we’ll head back through the valley, to see the remarkable rock formation known as “the monkey toes”. Continuing our journey towards Tinghir, to visit the breathtaking Todra Gorges. In the Todra Gorges, you’ll have the opportunity to walk beneath these magnificent cliffs and soak in the awe-inspiring surroundings. Our journey continues to Erfoud and Rissani, where we will make a stop for lunch.

As one of the most captivating tours from Marrakech, our itinerary wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Sahara desert. In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a camel ride, exploring the mystical sand sea of the Erg-Chebbi. Upon reaching the camp, you can check in and later, you will savor a delightful dinner. Spend the night in a tent for a truly unforgettable experience. Dinner and overnight in a desert camp.

Day 5Sahara Desert - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fez

Very early in the morning, we’ll have a “Date with the sunrise” in the middle of the desert, a must-do to witness the most spectacular sunrise you’ve ever seen. After breakfast, we’ll promptly commence our journey to the north, passing through the world’s largest Tafilalet palm grove. This route will lead us to the picturesque Ziz Valley, where the river flows down from the High Atlas, nourishing the lush palm grove. Here, we’ll pause to take in the breathtaking views of the valley and the charming town of Aoufous.

Next, we’ll make another stop in Midelt, located in the heart of the Atlas, where you’ll have some free time to enjoy lunch. Continuing our way through the Cedar forest, we might be lucky enough to spot some monkeys. Our next destination is the city of Ifrane, known for its wide avenues, lush gardens, and distinct architecture, giving it the appearance of a Swiss town. Around 6 pm, we’ll arrive in Fez, where you can check in to your accommodation and rest.

Day 6 Fez sightseeing

After breakfast, you will meet with a local tour guide to explore Fez, the most ancient and holy of the Imperial cities. Your cultural and historic tour will take you through the 2000-year-old living medina. A labyrinth of narrow streets, alive with markets and souks, craftsmen, donkeys, and mules transporting their loads. Visit the Attarine and Bou Anania Medersas (Islamic universities), the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque. Finish your tour with a visit to Fes Jdid, and the revered Merenid Tombs for a spectacular panoramic view of Fes.

Day 7 Fez - Chefchaouen

One of our most adventurous tours from Marrakech continues, as today, we will head to Chefchaouen. The journey will take you through picturesque landscapes of fertile agricultural land and the scenic Rif Mountains. Don’t miss the opportunity to capture beautiful photos at the lake of N’zala along the way. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, settle into your accommodation, and later in the afternoon, take some free time to wander through this charming village renowned for its captivating vivid blue houses.

Day 8Chefchaouen - Tetouan - Asilah

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel/riad, we’ll drive to Asilah, passing through beautiful landscapes along the way. In Asilah, you’ll have the chance to explore the city, known for its art festival and colorful Medina walls. Also, our visit includes the Skalla fortress, offering a wonderful view of the Medina and the ocean. After an enriching day of exploration, we’ll proceed to check into your hotel, where you can unwind and savor the experiences of the day.

Day 9Asilah - Rabat - Casablanca

As we depart for Casablanca, we’ll continue our drive along the picturesque Atlantic Coast. Our first stop will be in Rabat, the capital of Morocco and another one of the captivating Imperial cities. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the remarkable Hassan Tower and the Oudaya Kasbah. Our journey then takes us to Casablanca, where upon arrival, you’ll be able to marvel at the impressive Mosque of Hassan II, a magnificent structure built-in 1993 by a team of over 6000 skilled craftsmen. Situated along the city’s shores, it stands as an imposing edifice and one of the few mosques in Morocco that non-Muslims are allowed to enter. After checking in to the hotel, the afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

Day 10Casablanca - El Jadida - Essaouira

After breakfast at your hotel, we’ll continue your journey along the enchanting Atlantic Coast. Our route will lead us through El Jadida, a charming small port city formerly under Portuguese control and now a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Continuing on, we’ll reach the captivating seaside town of Essaouira, also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage city. This windswept fishing port boasts broad beaches and an ancient walled medina with ramparts seamlessly integrated into the cliffs, making it a beloved destination for travelers. Embrace the relaxed atmosphere as you explore the vibrant yet quaint medina, take leisurely strolls along the picturesque ramparts and beaches, or head to the port to witness the daily catch being brought in.

Day 11Essaouira - Marrakech

Following breakfast, our journey continues to the vibrant city of Marrakech. The scenic drive will take us past Argan oil cooperatives, offering a chance to stop and explore one of these cooperatives. Keep an eye out for the famous sight of goats climbing the Argan trees, a unique and charming spectacle. After a pleasant 3-hour drive, we’ll arrive in Marrakech and transfer you to your hotel or riad. 

Day 12Departure from Marrakech
