Moroccan Panorama 14 days 13 nights from Casablanca tour, is designed in order to discover the historical monuments of Morocco while visiting the Imperial cities of Fes, Meknes, Rabat, Marrakesh, and other important destinations. With this tour, you will also have the chance to visit Chefchaouen, Ait Ben Haddou, and much more.

This tour starts from Casablanca, with the emblematic mosque of Hassan II, and afterward continues to Imperial Rabat and Meknes. Later on, your tour continues to the spiritual Fes with the biggest medina and then to the blue city of Chefchaouen. After that, we cross the Middle Atlas mountains with the beautiful forest before we continue south, to the Moroccan Sahara.

This tour is going to be an unforgettable experience by spending 2 nights in the Sahara desert. Camel ride, a tour of the dunes with a 4WD car, and visiting a Nomad family, are some more extra activities. By the end of the tour, you will visit Marrakech and also you will have a day trip to Essaouira. Lastly, we turn back from where we started, the airport of Casablanca. Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Casablanca

The driver will pick you up from the airport of Casablanca up to your arrival time and transfer you to the hotel. Free time in the afternoon.

 
 

Day 2Casablanca sightseeing

You will be picked up from your hotel at 9:00 AM by your English-speaking driver and then you will meet your English-speaking guide on spot to start your Casablanca City Tour. See all of the major sites in Casablanca on this half-day city tour.

You will be able to admire the enchanting mixture of modern and traditional influences that shape the city while visiting the Central Market, the Habous District, the Royal Palace, the Aïn Diab Corniche, and the impressive Hassan II Mosque, built-in 1993 by a team of over 6000 craftsmen. Located on the shores of the city of Casablanca, it is an imposing edifice and one of the few mosques in Morocco that foreigners are allowed to enter. This 4-hour tour will finish around noon, so you will have the afternoon to relax.

Day 3Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes - Fez

This morning we will depart for Rabat, the capital of Morocco and one of the Imperial cities. We will visit the Mechouar (the ramparts and walls surrounding the Royal Palace), the majestic Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower, and the Oudaya Kasbah overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and offering fabulous views.

Our next stop is in Meknes. Meknes is a World Heritage Unesco Site and one of the 4 Imperial cities of Morocco which was founded at the end of the 17th Century by Moulay Ismail and is known as «the Moroccan Versailles». Meknes is the site of the first Arab dynasty and here you will visit the Medersa Bou Inania and the Bab Mansour, the Gateway to Moulay Ismail Palace. Later you will continue to Fez where you will check into your accommodation. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the medina and the souks of Fez.

Day 4Fez sightseeing

After breakfast, you will meet with a local tour guide to explore Fez, the most ancient and holy of the Imperial cities. Your cultural and historic tour will take you through the 2000-year-old living medina. A labyrinth of narrow streets, alive with markets and souks, craftsmen, donkeys, and mules transporting their loads. Visit the Attarine and Bou Anania Medersas (Islamic universities), the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, the Karaouine Mosque and Chouara tanneries. Finish your tour with a visit to Fez Jdid and the revered Merenid Tombs for a spectacular panoramic view of Fez.

Day 5Day trip to Chefchaouen

This morning we will depart for the enchanting mountain village of Chefchaouen, passing through the green valleys of the Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen is famous for its vivid blue-rinsed houses and is very popular for both tourists and Moroccans. Explore Chefchaouen, with its winding lanes and narrow alleys, which are home to numerous souks offering cuisine and artisan works, such as woolen items, intricate embroidery, and goats’ cheese, all native to the North, and not found anywhere else in Morocco. Relax in the square, visit a local farm, or hike in nearby parks. In the afternoon, we take the way back to Fez.

Day 6Fez - Ifrane - Midelt - Sahara desert

Pick up from your accommodation in Fez early in the morning and depart for the South of Morocco. You will have a stop in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco to enjoy its beauty and to have some memorable photos. After that, you will head toward Azrou to see the monkeys in the cedar forest. Continuing to Midelt where we will make a stop to have your lunch meal. We will cross later the pass of Tizi N Talghamt to reach Errachidia while admiring the views of Ziz Gorges. After that, you will have a stop for a panoramic view of Ziz valley.

The drive continues to Erg Chebbi Dunes passing by Aoufous and Erfoud (the last is famous with fossils and dates). We continue to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi. These dunes are also called Merzouga Dunes. On arrival, get ready for a camel trek for about an hour to enjoy the sunset. While on the back of your dromedary, you will continue to the camp for an overnight in a desert camp. Dinner will be served and you will spend the night in a tent in the middle of the dunes with the spectacle of Saharan music.

Day 7Sahara desert

After a quiet and memorable night in the dunes of Erg Chebbi, wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dunes. After these beautiful moments, you will be served a typical breakfast. Later, you will have a tour of the dunes on a 4×4 vehicle, allowing you to visit the black volcanic rocks of fossils, visit a nomad family living in a tent, visit the Khamlia village and entertain with their spiritual music, Gnawa.

Later we head to a seasonal lake near the village of Merzouga called ‘Dayte Sarji’ that forms during springtime and attracts pink flamingos and wildlife. Then you will have a break for lunch in Merzouga or Hassi Labied. After lunch, you will see the canal irrigation system and have a walk on the oasis located near the dunes. Get back to the desert camp, where you will spend the night.

Day 8Sahara desert - Erfoud - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley - Ouarzazate

This morning after your breakfast, you will ride your camel back to Merzouga. We depart towards Tineghir passing by Erfoud and Tinejdad. Have a break for lunch on the way and later, we will continue to Todra gorges via Tinghir, stopping along the way for photos and admiring the views. Arrive in Todra Gorges to enjoy its marvelous Canyons views while hiking on foot. Later on, we will drive to Boumalne Dades and will make a stop for a panoramic view of Dades Valley. The next site to visit is the Rose Valley going through the big Skoura palm grove, a beautiful place to contemplate more than 700.000 palms and numerous kasbahs that are built in the surrounding area. In this Valley damascenes, roses are raised for cosmetic use such as the valued rosewater. Afterward, our journey continues to Ouarzazate where we will have our first overnight.

Day 9Ouarzazate sightseeing - Day trip to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou

Today we will learn more about Ouarzazate, also known as “The gate of the desert” which in the Berber language means “noiseless or without confusion”. Here you will see the Taourirt Kasbah, one of the most spectacular ksars in Morocco. We will make a stop for a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt before we start our day trip to Ait Ben Haddou. On the way, we will make a photo stop near the Atlas studios. After that, we continue to the ksar (fortified village) of Aït Ben Haddou where we will visit the famous Kasbah (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous films have been shot on this spectacular stage, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, and Sahara with Penélope Cruz…etc. Free time to stroll around and in the afternoon we will get back to Ouarzazate.

Day 10Ouarzazate - Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

This morning after breakfast we will depart for Marrakech, the “Red city” and the most known of the Imperial cities. Our journey continues over the mountains of High Atlas passing through the Tizi N’Tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Arrive in Marrakech and check into your accommodation. You’ll have the afternoon to relax while exploring the main square Jemaa el Fnaa and the souks.

Day 11Marrakech sightseeing

This morning you will have a private guided tour of Marrakech Medina with an official guide. You will explore the first of the Imperial cities and see the famous Mosque of Koutoubia, the Medina, and its souks, and explore some more of Marrakech’s secrets: Ali Ben Youssef Koranic School, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens. In the afternoon, the best option is to explore the medina, approaching the square that in the evening is full of narrators, jugglers, diviners, snake charmers, and musicians.

Day 12Day trip to Essaouira

This morning after breakfast in your hotel, we will depart for the seaside town of Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast. A relaxing 3-hour journey, lined with Argan oil trees, where we will make a stop to watch the goats climbing on Argan trees. Our journey continues with another stop at an Argan oil feminine cooperative, where you will have the opportunity to see the process. Later we reach Essaouira, this beautiful UNESCO World Heritage-listed city.

Here, you will have enough time to explore all the sites of interest. The windswept fishing port, with broad beaches and ancient walled medina with ramparts built into the cliffs, has long been a popular destination. With its relaxed feel, take in the small but lively medina, stroll along the ramparts or beach, or visit the port to see the daily catch and have a great lunch with seafood in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we drive back to Marrakech where the driver will drop you off at your hotel.

Day 13Marrakech free day

Today you will have a free day to explore Marrakech on your own. We recommend you today to visit a traditional hammam and optional at night you can enjoy dinner and show in the famous Fantasia Show in restaurant Chez Ali.

Day 14Marrakech - Casablanca Airport

Today the driver will pick you up from your hotel up to your departure time and transfer you to the airport of Casablanca which is about 3 hours drive from Marrakech. Drop off at the airport of Casablanca and this is the end of our services.
